Historical Paris, artistic Paris, Paris in music … Hotel des Marronniers has prepared a small selection of events organized near 21 rue Jacob! Did you know that at 23 Quai de Conti, just a few minutes walk from the Hotel, is the oldest public library in Paris? The Mazarin Library was opened to the public in 1643! It offers a beautiful example of decoration of the 17th century … Free visits on Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The Beaux Arts of Paris also open their doors this year for free or guided tours. A nice journey through centuries in buildings from the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th! From Saturday 11:00 am to Sunday 5:00 pm, 12 rue Bonaparte.
You can see it from the windows of the Hotel des Marronniers’ rooms and it dominates the 6th arrondissement. The Church of Saint-Germain is a true witness to the Romanesque architecture of Paris. Free or guided visits very interesting on the different parts of this religious edifice. From Saturday 10:00 am to Sunday 5:00 pm.
The Sorbonne is a mythical and emblematic place of the French Culture. Enjoy the Heritage Days to discover its history and curiosities. Conferences and courses from Saturday 11:00 am to Sunday 5:00 pm. 45 – 47 rue des écoles.
The Auguste Comte’s House, presents the apartment of the philosopher as it was when he lived there. Free visits from Saturday 10:00 am to Sunday 6:00 pm. 10 rue Monsieur le Prince.
Music in the 1st and 7th arrondissement! The City Hall of the 1st district enchants the neighborhood with a Jazz concert! Paris Downtown Big Band awaits you Saturday at 4 place du Louvre, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Saint-Clotilde Basilica and Chapel of Jesus-Enfant, the city’s first neo-gothic church, highlights its tremendous instrument with an organ concert on Saturday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. 23bis – 29 rue Las Cases, Paris 7.
